PADI & SSI OPEN WATER DIVER COURSE

PADI, SSI and CMAS are three independent organisations and institutions that provide internationally valid diving certificates. DOLPHIN DIVING CENTRE is the only institution in the region that has all these three major institutions. Training at international standards in accordance with the training curriculum of these major organisations is an inevitable necessity and requirement of this distinguished title.

Diving courses and diver ranks are classified differently in different institutions, but in general the training and standards are the same. Below are the certification rank classifications and training contents of PADI and SSI institutions. 

PADI & SSI OPEN WATER DIVER CERTIFICATE

You, our valuable and curious underwater lover, will not only take a scuba diving course, but also become a professional diver underwater, acquire a new hobby, accumulate adventures and memories, and make warm and lasting friendships in our social and family environment.

The aim of this 3-day programme is to provide the diver candidate with the basic theoretical and practical knowledge that a diver should acquire in general by means of surface and underwater training and to make the student an internationally valid PADI - SSI OPEN WATER certificate holder by diving up to a maximum of 18 metres.

The Open Water diving course consists of 3 main parts: theoretical knowledge development, shallow water training and open water diving. The theory will be conducted online for 3 days after your instructor has registered you on the PADI and SSI application.

Day 1: The first day is spent with knowledge development and shallow water training.The basic principle of diving and safety procedures, equipment selection and preparation, the effects of water on the diver, underwater communication and the main programme of the course are introduced.After this stage, shallow water training is carried out with the instructor.On these training dives you will learn the basic skills of diving that will keep you safe as well as getting to know the underwater and equipment.

Day 2 and 3: Since the first day of the course includes theory and shallow water skills, you will spend most of your time with the instructor diving to different dive sites. You will make open water dives on the remaining 2 days to a maximum of 18 metres. During these open water dives, you will have the opportunity to experience, develop and improve what you have learned from the first day with your instructor!

After completing the open sea dives, you will have an OPEN WATER diver certificate immediately after your instructor approves your dives. With this certificate, you will be able to dive up to 18 metres all around the world, rent equipment as a professional diver and participate in advanced courses!

With this certificate, our esteemed guests can join the next level course called ADVANCED OPEN WATER diver if they wish! This course includes more adventurous deep dives, cave dives, wreck dives, underwater navigation and various other trainings. The duration of the course is 2 days, 5 dives are performed and dives are made up to maximum of 30 metres.

The course content includes daily round-trip transfer, lunch, you can take advantage of the boat facilities in your free time all day, you can enjoy a boat trip on the way to the dive sites.
